Ruchir Modi's travel tales: Of Aston Martins, fancy holidays and ever-lasting bonds

Lalit Modi’s son Ruchir is an avid traveller and has a penchant for fancy holidays. One of his favourite travel tales, he says, involves a road trip with his friends. “Last year, I participated in the Gumball rally with four other friends. We drove across Europe for 3,000 miles over seven days. I was driving an Aston Martin, from Dublin to Bucharest, stopping in seven cities,” he says.

“There were about 200 people on the trip but we five were like one team. So there were moments when you liked each other and we even hated each other at times. But we are best friends today,” the 22-year-old says of the bonds he formed on the trip.
