Rs 55-cr wedding of Arathi & Adithya Vishnu: From Ravi Shankar Prasad to royal families & global CEOs in the guest list

KOCHI: Union minister for Communication, Information technology and Law and Justice Ravi Shankar Prasad, the chief minister Oommen Chandy and his cabinet members, members of the Royal families of Bahrain, Kuwait and Saudi Arabia, 42 global leaders including country heads and global CEOs were part of the guest list of the Rs 55 crore wedding of NRI business man Dr Ravi Pillai’s daughter Dr Arathi Pillai with Dr Adithya Vishnu of Kochi.

The other notable names in the guest list included M A Yousuf Ali, Managing Director, LuLu Group International, Dr Azad Moopen, Chairman & MD Aster DM Healthcare, T S Kalyanaraman, Chairman and Managing Director, Kalyan Jewellers and Actor Mohan Lal. With a net worth of $ 2.8 billion, Dr Ravi Pillai, chairman, RP Group, is one of richest Keralites with business interests spread across several countries.

Around 50,000 guests attended the wedding on Thursday held in a specially built palace/pandhal in 5 acres in Asramam grounds in Kollam. About 2000 people worked for 45 days to build the palace designed by the production/design team of the hit film ‘Bahubali’.

The spectacular wedding also featured dance performances by actress Shobhana, Manju Warrier. ‘Rhythm of the Forest’ performance, choreographed by Soorya had 400 dancers on stage. A traditional Kerala Sadya was served for the guests in dining halls which could accommodate 7,000 guests at a time.
