Some people love the summer season, others hate it. But one thing you cannot ignore is that a daily commute in the hot and sultry weather is something everyone dreads. It’s especially true when you are travelling via public transport, like an autorickshaw, where the scorching heat, traffic and lack of ventilation can quickly turn even a short ride into an exhausting ordeal. But a social media user, Shagun Ohri, happened to book a ‘premium’ auto ride that surprisingly came with summer-friendly facilities.

Unique auto facility

The user dropped a couple of pictures from her unconventional auto ride on X, offering a peek at the unique service. In her caption, the woman jokingly revealed that the driver was well-aware of ICP aka, Ideal Customer Profile.

The first picture captured the inside of the auto-rickshaw, which looked pretty normal, except for the fact that it had a neatly pasted white sheet at the back of the driver’s seat, listing out the add-on services. The basic but uncanny features available in the auto ride were as follows: a passenger can have a 500ml cool water bottle by paying the driver Rs 10. The same amount also goes for switching on a fan for 30 minutes. Yes, a built-in fan inside the auto.

Internet reacts to modern auto ride

Apart from that, commuters are also free to use a USB to charge their mobile phones in case their battery is low or dies out suddenly. As per the note, the charging port was compatible with every type of pin. The second photo showed Shagun Ohri holding a water bottle in her hand, suggesting that she might have used one of the services provided by the autorickshaw.

The unique concept of optional upgrades struck a chord with the internet. Lauding the initiative, an individual commented, ‘This is the kind of innovation I want to see in autos, trying to make some extra income.’ Another called it a ‘good idea, especially in summer’. ‘Such a business evolution,’ pointed out a user. Meanwhile, one person wanted to know how the auto driver keeps the water bottles cool in the heat.
