The Ram Charan and NTR Jr. starrer was competing against formidable opponents such as 'All Quiet On The Western Front' (Germany), 'Argentina 1985' (Argentina), 'Close' (Belgium) and 'Decision To Leave' (South Korea).

However 'RRR' did not return completely empty handed. 'Naatu Naatu' the addictive dance track , won a Golden Globe in the category of Best Original Song. MM Keeravani went on the stage to collect the award and dedicated it to director Rajamouli and the two leads of the movie - Ram Charan and NTR Rama Rao.

The song won against formidable contenders like Taylor Swift’s hit track ‘Carolina’ from the film ‘Where The Crawdads Sing’, ‘Ciao Papa’ from Guillermo del Toro's ‘Pinocchio’, Lady Gaga's ‘Hold My Hand’ from ‘Top Gun: Maverick’ and Rihanna’s ‘Lift Me Up’ from ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’.
