'RRR' earns Oscar nomination: Chiranjeevi excited for Academy Awards, Anupam Kher calls it greatest news for Indian Cinema
This is the third major international recognition for 'Naatu Naatu'.

Director SS Rajamouli's blockbuster 'RRR' made history when its famous track 'Naatu Naatu', which also won a Golden Globe Award and a Critics Choice Award, earned an Oscar nomination on Tuesday in the Best Original Song category.
The fast-paced song, picturised on superstars NTR Jr and Ram Charan, is competing against Sofia Carson's 'Applause' from 'Tell It Like a Woman', Lady Gaga's 'Hold My Hand' from 'Top Gun: Maverick', Rihanna's 'Lift Me Up' from 'Black Panther: Wakanda Forever' and Son Lux's 'This Is a Life' from 'Everything Everywhere All at Once'.
This is the third major international recognition for 'Naatu Naatu', composed by MM Keeravaani and penned by Kala Bhairava and Rahul Sipligunj. The film also bagged a Critics Choice award in the Best Foreign Language Film category.

South star Chiranjeevi said 'RRR' was one step away from the pinnacle of cinematic glory. "Heartiest Congrats on the Oscar nomination for Best Original Song to Keeravaani and 'visionary' Rajamouli," he tweeted.
