Director SS Rajamouli's magnum opus 'RRR' (Rise Roar Rivolt) has taken viewers by storm in Japan.

The blockbuster has managed to clock in a footfall of 4,84,140 as of Sunday (January 29).

The extended Republic Day weekend proved to be promising for the movie when it saw almost 33,000 admissions. While Saturday (January 28) was the highest box-office day since its release with 16,858 admissions, Sunday (January 29) was slightly lower with a footfall of 16,086.

Rajamouli took to Twitter to shower some love on the Japanese audience.

The film-maker took a trip down memory lane and recalled the days when a movie running for 175 days in a theatre used to be a big thing.
