Room for change: Architect Rajiv Parekh on renovating SRK's Mannat
When Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan was training in martial arts, the superstar got a custommade boxing ring built in his home, Mannat. But architect Rajiv Parekh, who is in charge of renovating Mannat, says that “Aryan’s floor” has since been revamped.

With junior Khan off to college in the US, the boxing ring has given way to newer interiors. “Aryan took the final call on most of the interiors and he asked us to take his mom, Gauri’s nod for other elements. The flooring is now solid wood with different shaped wooden planks. They have come together beautifully,” says Parekh, who has also done up Khan’s production house office.

“SRK was heavily involved in the design stage, where he gave us his inputs. But after that, he didn’t interfere for the next two years, during the execution phase,” Parikh recalls, clearly impressed with the superstar’s working style.
