Rolls-Royce Power System CEO learnt 'Make In India' lesson from his debut trip to Mumbai
And a year on, that's a lesson that has stayed with Andreas Schell.

But he had a disclaimer — India works as a good market if you change your approach according to the local business. He said this thanks to some homework. When Schell took over as CEO in late 2016, his first overseas business trip was to India.
“I came here in January 2017 on a ‘finding trip’. I feel India is a country full of opportunities. It is a growing economy. It was very clear to me that we needed to change our approach if we are doing business in India,” he said.
His biggest takeaway from his trip then is now something which is a rather popular phrase in political corridors. “Rather than deliver to India, it had to be make in India,” Schell said. .
