Several close family members and long-time friends were in attendance as Rohan Murty tied the knot with Aparna Krishnan in Bengaluru on Monday, in a traditional ceremony. Rohan is the son of Infosys founder NR Narayana Murthy and Sudha Murty, while Aparna is the daughter of Kochi-based Savithri Krishnan, a retired SBI employee, and Commander KR Krishnan, a former Indian Navy officer.
The wedding was followed by a reception at the same hotel. The occasion also provided for a warm get-together for the Infosys co-founders, and the executives who have worked closely with Murthy. Infosys co-founders Nandan Nilekani, ‘Kris’ Gopalakrishnan, SD Shibulal, and K Dinesh, CEO Salil Parekh, former board members TV Mohandas Pai and V Balakrishnan, and former CFO Mavinakere Ranganath blessed the elegantly-dressed couple.

Rohan’s aunts and uncle Shrinivas Kulkarni, a professor of astronomy at Caltech, and sister Akshata Murty, personally received the guests. Akshata’s inlaws and family members and relatives of Aparna were also part of the celebrations.
Rohan and his parents were seen personally introducing guests to the newest member of their family.

Popular Carnatic vocalist Bombay Jayashree further lifted spirits, her magical voice enthralling guests at the reception in the evening.

Rohan is a junior fellow at the Harvard Society of Fellows. He has a PhD in Computer Science from Harvard University and a Bachelors degree in Computer Science from Cornell University.
Aparna did her initial schooling in India and later got a scholarship to the United World College in Canada for her high-school education. She has done her under-graduation in economics from Dartmouth College, US, and has worked at McKinsey and Sequoia Capital in India.
