Robin Uthappa ties the knot with Sheethal Goutham

It was a white wedding for cricketer Robin Uthappa, who married his long time sweetheart tennis player Sheethal Goutham last week. The couple, who got engaged last year, met while they were both studying in college. Sheethal, who was Robin's senior, was introduced to the cricketer through common friends. The two soon became close friends for nearly six years before getting into a relationship in 2013.

For the Christian wedding ceremony, which took place in the morning, Uthappa wore a smart three-piece blue suit with a bow tie, while his beautiful bride picked a strapless white wedding gown. The ceremony was complete with a four-tier, blue and white polka dotted cake. Irfan Pathan, who was part of the entourage, looked dapper in a light grey suit and tweeted his congratulations to Robin saying, "My brother @robbieuthappa wis u a great married life. may u always keep laughing the way u do #robinsheethal." The couple also hosted a reception in the evening, where they both donned stylish Sabyasachi outfits.
