Rishi Kapoor says he was offered Censor board chief's post
MUMBAI: The government had offered the noted Bollywood actor Rishi Kapoor the chairmanship of Central Board of Film Certification, but he declined it because he felt it was a thankless job, he claimed today.

"It's true (that I was offered the job). I think it's a thankless job, and I don't have the patience to watch so many films," Kapoor told PTI.

Asked about his opinion on the current rules and regulations of the CBFC for clearing the films, Kapoor chose not to comment.

Pahlaj Nihalani, the current chairman of CBFC, has drawn controversies because of his conservative approach, with the social media taking a dig at his "sanskari" policy.

Kapoor was last seen in "All is Well" alongside Supriya Pathak, Abhishek Bachchan and Asin. He will be seen next in Karan Johar's home production "Kapoor & Sons".
