'Rishi Kapoor is cancer-free': Director Rahul Rawail reveals through Facebook post
Kapoor moved to New York last year seeking treatment for an undisclosed condition.

Hours after Rishi Kapoor's friend, director Rahul Rawail, revealed that the 66-year-old is 'cancer free', his elder brother Randhir Kapoor confirmed that he would return to India soon. He said that the actor is 'almost cancer free' now and is about to complete his treatment.
Earlier on Monday, Rawail's Facebook post revealed that the actor had recovered from his disease. The 'Anjaam' director shared a picture with the 'Chandni' actor. He wrote, 'RISHI KAPOOR (CHINTU) is CANCER FREE!!!!'
Earlier this year, Kapoor's wife, Neetu, had shared a New Year's post on Instagram which had first sparked cancer rumours. She wrote, "Happy 2019 no resolutions only wishes this year !!! Less pollution traffic!! Hope in future cancer is only a zodiac sign !!! No hatred less poverty loads of love togetherness happiness n most imp. Good health."
Earlier, when the 'Namaste London' actor's elder brother, Randhir Kapoor, was questioned about the rumours, he revealed that the actor is doing well and did not pay heed to what fans were speculating.

Kapoor was last seen on the big screen in Anubhav Sinha directorial 'Mulk'. The film also featured Taapsee Pannu.
