Rishad Premji welcomes Crown Princes to Wipro's new headquarter in Dubai

Billionaire Rishad Premji hosted the Crown Princes of Dubai at Wipro's headquarters in the city on Wednesday.

The Wipro Chairman took to Twitter to share his excitement.

In his post, he said that he was 'thrilled' and 'privileged' to host the brothers - Hamdan bin Mohammed Al Maktoum and Maktoum bin Mohammed Al Maktoum - at the company's new regional headquarters for Asia Pacific, Middle East and Africa in the city.


"Deeply appreciate your patronage and support," his post read.


After the demise of the UAE President Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan in May, the brothers - Hamdan and Maktoum - took up the responsibility to run the country.

Crown Prince Hamdan had earlier shared a post on the micro-blogging site, alongside the pictures from their meeting.

With the launch of the new facility, he said he wanted to see Dubai transform into a great hub for entrepreneurs, innovators & futurists, just like Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), has envisioned.

"We’re committed to providing the best business ecosystem to our partners in Dubai’s success story," he wrote.

At the event, Crown Prince Hamdan said that Dubai has witnessed several major global technology success stories over the past decade.

“The establishment of Wipro’s new facility in Dubai reflects the emirate’s growing profile as a global hub for the world’s leading information technology companies. Dubai has created a dynamic enabling infrastructure and ecosystem for the information technology industry along with regulatory frameworks designed to support innovation, entrepreneurship and business expansion. The city is also the ideal base to access some of the world’s best technology talent, which continues to gravitate to Dubai to take advantage of its rich growth opportunities and high living standards,” Hamdan was quoted as saying to Khaleej Times.

The new Wipro facility, located at the Dubai World Trade Centre, will take care of the company's operations across the UAE and APMEA.
