Rio Kapadia, Bollywood veteran who starred in ‘Made In Heaven’ & ‘Chak De! India’, passes away at 66

Bollywood veteran Rio Kapadia has passed away.

The actor, who appeared in several Bollywood classics such as ‘Dil Chahta Hai’, ‘Chakde India’ etc, was 66 at the time of his death. The news of his demise was confirmed by his friend Faisal Malik in an interview with India Today. However, the cause of his death has not been confirmed yet.

The actor’s last rites will take place at Shiv Dham Shamshan Bhumi in Goregaon.


The news of his death has left his fans in shock, as the ‘Made In Heaven’ actor was fairly hale and hearty, as well as active on social media till recently.

In June, the actor uploaded a picture of himself enjoying a vacation in Europe on his Instagram handle, and wrote, “Back again to the final leg of the European trip! Back to Paris. Had to see Paris on the eve from the Eiffel tower and have some last dinners in the beautiful city.”
