On top of Ricky Kej's reply queue was the country's Prime Minister.
Hours after winning his second Grammy, composer Ricky Kej's Twitter timeline was busy. And naturally!
The 40-year-old who did India proud at the musical awards has been flooded with praise and adulation. Hours after his win, the musician took the time out to respond to individual messages.
And on top of his reply queue was, of course, the country's Prime Minister. A "speechless" Kej thanked Narendra Modi for his blessings and hoped that he had made him proud.

In his tweet, which he has pinned to his profile, he also thanked the PM for setting him on the "the path of environmental consciousness 7 years ago." In 2015, he had bagged a Grammy for his album 'Winds of Samsara'. Seven years on, he did an encore as he lifted the coveted award along with Rock-legend Stewart Copeland (The Police) for the Best New Age Album ‘Divine Tides’.
The US-born composer also tweeted his gratitude to film director Nila Madhab Panda, business leader Kiran Mazumdar Shaw and classical musician Purbayan Chatterjee among others for their wishes. A self-taught musician, Kej has been living in Bengaluru from his childhood and has performed at multiple cities across the world. An active environmentalist, he has been a recipient of the United Nations Global Humanitarian Artist award.
