Rumours have swirled about Samsung's plans to add an extra layer of security on its flagship smartphones with the help of retina scan. Before the launch of Samsung Galaxy S5, many assumed that the smartphone might come with one.

However, the Galaxy S5 only has a fingerprint scanner. Now there are fresh reports suggesting that a retina scanner will be added to the Samsung Galaxy Note 4. Samsung is expected to unveil its Note 4 phablet at the IFA Trade Fair, which will take place in September at Berlin.

Samsung's official twitter account hinted at the possibility when one post said, "Security can be improved using features unique to us." Along with it was a picture of a smartphone with a focus on the eye.

According to previous leaks, Samsung Galaxy Note 4 will probably have a 5.7-inch Quad HD display. It will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor along with Adreno 420 graphics processor and 3GB of RAM.
