Rengan Rajaratnam’s brother now more outside than inside?

Let’s call this the tale of two brothers.

Rengan Rajaratnam, the younger brother of Raj Rajaratnam, the former billionaire hedge fund manager convicted of insider trading in 2011, is winning the war of attrition in his own insider trading trial.

The case against Rengan Rajaratnam is down to a single charge of conspiracy to commit insider trading, after the court in Manhattan dismissed two charges against him this week.

The 43-year-old, whose older brother co-founded the Galleon Group, was facing as many as seven criminal charges.

It looks like at least one of the Rajaratnam siblings has luck on his side.
