Remembering Homi Aibara

Last week, eminent hospitality industry consultant Homi Aibara passed away and was bid farewell by the corporate world. Qualified as a chartered accountant, Aibara was a partner at the consultancy firm Mahajan & Aibara, working with the likes of Vijay Mallya and Jaydev Mody. While Mallya expressed his sadness on Twitter, many of Aibara’s friends such as real estate tycoon Niranjan Hiranandani, former Tata Steel managing director JJ Irani, Harsh Goenka, construction magnate Vikas Oberoi’s wife Gayatri and author Shobhaa De and husband Dilip De assembled at KC College in Mumbai to pay their last respects.

"Absolutely devastated at the loss of my oldest friend. An unmatchable gem of a person. RIP my dear Homi Aibara,” tweeted Mallya.
