When Phanindra Sama put up a Facebook post indicating that he was on the hunt for new office, everyone assumed that it was for a new venture.

Last month, when Phanindra Sama put up a Facebook post indicating that he was on the hunt for new office digs in Bengaluru, it was natural to assume that Sama was cooking up a new venture.

But as it turns out, the Red Bus co-founder has nothing on the cards. So why the new space then? "I am not starting a new venture. Just a personal office," said Sama in a text message to ETPanache.

A BITS Pilani alumnus Sama, who quit Red Bus last year after a Rs 600 crore acquisition by Ibibo, has since been an angel investor and mentor to many tech-based startups in the country.
