Influencer Apoorva Mukhija, popularly known as The Rebel Kid, has found herself in the middle of a controversy after her ex-boyfriend, Utsav Dahiya, released a song that appeared to target her. The track, titled Cute Little Red Flags, quickly went viral on Instagram, crossing over 17 million views and generating widespread discussion online.

While Dahiya did not name Mukhija directly in the lyrics, the song’s references to cheating and dishonesty led many to assume the allegations were aimed at her. In a long caption accompanying the post, Dahiya accused his ex of spreading lies for personal content and using her large following to influence public opinion against him. He added that when he attempted to resolve the matter by reaching out to her and her agency, he was dismissed and told that he was “a nobody” who should feel fortunate to have dated her.

Apoorva’s Subtle Response

Amid the uproar, screenshots surfaced of Mukhija allegedly commenting on a video related to the controversy. The comment read that the truth eventually comes out and that timing is the only factor.

Mukhija also shared cryptic Instagram stories following the song’s release. One suggested she had moved on from the situation and found it amusing, while another emphasized that she only learns lessons when she teaches them to herself. Despite the speculation, Mukhija has not issued a direct statement regarding the allegations.

Utsav’s Claims of Online Harassment

As the song gained traction, Dahiya alleged that attempts were being made to compromise his Instagram account. In a story, he expressed disappointment over repeated hacking attempts and urged Meta for assistance, saying he had already removed several suspicious devices from his profile.

The controversy also appears to have affected Mukhija’s friendships. Influencer Sufi Motiwala announced on Instagram that he had ended his friendship with her, clarifying that contrary to assumptions, he never sought clout through their association. He explained that he distanced himself because he felt there was no accountability in the way he was treated.

The situation has left social media divided. While some viewers sympathize with Dahiya’s claims of being unfairly portrayed, others question the authenticity of the allegations and defend Mukhija.

On the professional front, Apoorva Mukhija was recently seen in Prime Video’s reality show The Traitors. She has not announced her next project yet.
