Realme Smart TV SLED 4K review: A fair viewing experience complemented with good audio output
The SLED technology is considered to be an improved version of an LED screen.

HIGHLIGHT: Audio output
Smart TVs have come a long way, especially in the last couple of years. The market is now brimming with options across price ranges. An entrant in this market in 2020 is Realme, the brand that has slowly made a mark in the smartphone segment. The company recently introduced a 4K Smart TV with SLED display. SLED or superluminescent diode is supposed to be an improved version of LED TV and does not use blue light.
Realme claims it is better than a standard LED as it uses an RGB spectral power distribution. We were majorly pleased while watching all kinds of content, including those with 4K resolution and 1080p, on it. But the colours did look a little overexposed at times.
The TV boasts of a 55-inch panel that is quite big yet blends in well when mounted on a wall. That is due to its thin frame. You can also place it on a flat surface using the metallic stands that come with it.
For audio, the Realme Smart TV SLED 4K offers two speaker sets that are tuned by Dolby Audio and are placed at the bottom. The TV has 24W of sound output delivering loud and clear quality.
Connectivity-wise, there are two USB ports, antenna and a mini AV on the sides. There is a 3.5mm port, LAN port, three HDMI ports facing down on the back. Some users may find the position of ports a little uncomfortable. However, this also depends on the placement of the TV.
Overall, for Rs 42,999, the Realme smart TV SLED 4K is a competent offering from the company. It offers a fair viewing experience, complemented with good audio output. It finds its strength in the build quality and a clean Android TV software.
