‘Reacher’ has been renewed for season 5: When and where to catch investigator Jack Reacher and his new partner in action?

Good news for Reacher fans – the action crime TV series will be returning from season 5. Fans will get to see the formidable Jack Reacher, former US military officer-turned-investigator, in action again. Earlier this year, a Deadline report revealed that Prime Video has renewed the action thriller for a new season and Lee Child’s 20th novel in the hit Jack Reacher series. Production for the new season began in Ontario, Canada. As per a Lifestyle Asia report, the new season is based on the book Make Me. While Prime Video has not released a full synopsis of the new season for the TV series, the story begins with Reacher visiting a sleep railroad station called Mother’s Rest, a small Midwest town. He comes across Michelle Chang, a detective who mistakes him for her missing partner. Michelle is an ex-FBI agent. They start to investigate her colleague Keever’s disappearance.

When Will Reacher 5 Hit OTT?

Prime Video has not yet announced a release date for the fifth season of the TV series. However, the series would likely be available for streaming from late 2027 or early 2028.

Alan Ritchson experienced a career high, as the fourth season of the TV series was far from the Reacher star’s only hit on Prime Video. According to Movie Web, the actor’s 2025 buddy action comedy also emerged as a hit on Prime Video, despite earning an underwhelming rating of 23 per cent on Rotten Tomatoes. It became one of the top 10 most watched films on the platform.

Playdate narrates the story of Brian (Kevin James), an out-of-work accountant who tries to make his stepson be more outgoing. Jeff (Ritchson) and CJ (Banks Pierce) arrive in their suburb, and the boys hit it off. Jeff and Brian also bond, and a playdate is arranged. However, their serene existence is jeopardised when Jeff is attacked during the outing. Brian eventually realises Jeff may not be who he claims he is.
