India continues to grieve the passing of the cherished Ratan Tata, who died at the age of 86 in a Mumbai hospital after being admitted in critical condition. His death led to an outpouring of tributes on social media, but one post stood out in particular—a man was seen getting a tattoo of Ratan Tata on his chest. When asked about his decision, the man shared a heartwarming story that emphasized the humanitarian side of the industrialist.

Mahesh Chavan, a tattoo artist, posted the video on Instagram with the simple caption, "India has lost a legend." The clip begins with Chavan working on a tattoo of Tata’s likeness on the man's chest. Curious about the reason behind the tattoo, Chavan asked the man to explain.

The man then recounted how his friend's battle with cancer was made even more difficult by unaffordable medical bills and a lack of support. In their desperation, they turned to the Tata Trusts, which came to their aid by offering free medical treatment, making a life-changing impact.


Deeply moved by this act of generosity, the man expressed his admiration for Tata’s work in saving countless lives. He explained that his tattoo was a tribute to Ratan Tata, whom he regards as a "real-life God," and a way to honor the philanthropist's principles.

Social media users quickly resonated with the sentiment. "A man with zero haters," one Instagram user commented. "He was a true gentleman," another added. "India lost its ratan (gem)," wrote a third, while a fourth said, "Tata sir is a legend."

In an official statement, Tata Sons chairman N Chandrasekaran confirmed Tata's passing. "It is with a deep sense of loss that we say goodbye to Mr. Ratan Naval Tata, an extraordinary leader whose invaluable contributions shaped not just the Tata Group but the very soul of our nation," Chandrasekaran said. He also referred to Tata as his "friend, mentor, and guide."
