Ratan Tata pays tribute to Tata Group founder Jamsetji, the 'father of Indian industry', on his birth anniversary

On his birth anniversary, the 84-year-old wished Tata Group companies, employees and their families.
The 84-year-old paid tribute to the legend by remembering his vision and selflessness that provided dignity and livelihood to tens of thousands of Indian citizens.
"Mr. Jamsetji Nusserwanji Tata has provided us with his inspiration, his ethics and values, his vision and selflessness which have provided dignity and livelihood to tens of thousands of citizens. My best wishes go out to all the Tata group companies, employees and their families on the birth anniversary of our founder," Tata wrote alongside a picture of him standing next to a statue of Jamsetji.
Jamsetji, born in 1839, was the brain behind Mumbai's Bandra-Worli Sea Link idea.

But few of us see it for what it is — a manifestation of an idea our Founder, Jamsetji Tata, conceived in the 1800s. On the eve of his 183rd birth anniversary, we look back at how he gave India her first steel enterprise," Tata Companies shared on Instagram.
Jamsetji also established the JN Tata Endowment Fund in 1892 to help Indian students embark on their dream of pursuing higher education abroad.
