Ratan Tata instructs Taj Hotel Mumbai to be a refuge for a stray pup! Picture goes viral

This five-star hotel in Mumbai now has a furry guest! Picture and videos of a dog sleeping peacefully at the gateway of Taj Mahal Hotel Mumbai have gone viral on the Internet. The adorable photo was first shared by an employee of the hotel on LinkedIn.

In her LinkedIn post, Rubi Khan expressed her surprise upon discovering a street dog peacefully resting near the hotel's entrance. Upon conversing with the hotel staff, Khan discovered that Ratan Tata had issued strict directives regarding the treatment of stray dogs.


“This is the entrance of the Taj Mahal Hotel, one of the most luxurious and finest hotels in the country. During my stay, as I started my day, I noticed a living being sleeping peacefully in the same spot, seemingly carefree. My curiosity led me to ask the hotel staff about him, and I learned that he has been a part of the hotel since birth. There are strict instructions from Mr. Ratan Tata to treat these animals well if they enter the premises,” she wrote.

The post went viral on the job-sharing website, garnering over 8,000 likes.

The former Chairman of Tata & Sons is a canine-lover and advocate of animal rights. The Tata Group headquarters in Mumbai, known as Bombay House, features a dedicated section specifically allocated for the care of stray dogs from the vicinity.
