Reports around the wedding of Rashmika Mandanna and Vijay Deverakonda refuse to slow down. Even though the couple has not made any formal announcement, talk of a February 26, 2026 ceremony in Udaipur has been circulating widely. In the middle of all this, a comment from actor Pramod Shetty, who has worked closely with Rashmika and is known to be a close friend of her former fiancé Rakshit Shetty, has now come to light.

According to the Times of India, speaking to the media amid the wedding chatter, Pramod Shetty addressed whether he had received an invitation. He said, “I haven't received Rashmika's wedding invitation yet. If I get it, I'll go. We know she won’t invite us, nothing new. As for Rakshit Shetty, he’s not a kid eating chocolate and sitting around feeling guilty about it.”

The statement quickly spread online, especially because of the past connection between Rashmika and Rakshit. The two had worked together in Kirik Party, which marked Rashmika’s debut in films and was directed by Rishab Shetty.


Pramod, Rakshit and Rashmika were all part of that film. Over time, Rashmika and Rakshit got engaged but later called off their wedding, which had surprised many fans back then.

During another interaction, Pramod also spoke about Rakshit’s approach to filmmaking and his current phase. He said, “Rakshit will rise like a phoenix. He gave a statement recently, didn’t he? He hasn’t gone anywhere. That’s how he writes his films. He takes some time, then comes back and calmly makes a movie. He isn’t in as much of a hurry as we are.”

He made it clear that Rakshit is not someone who would sit and feel bad about not being invited. According to him, that chapter is over and there is no emotional baggage.

For context, Rakshit Shetty is an actor, writer and producer known for backing films like 777 Charlie and others. Pramod Shetty, on the other hand, has appeared in films such as Kantara, Bell Bottom and Avane Srimannarayana.

Details About The Reported Wedding

As per multiple media reports, Rashmika Mandanna and Vijay Deverakonda are planning an intimate ceremony in Udaipur on February 26, 2026. Moneycontrol reported that the haldi ceremony is expected on February 24 and the sangeet on February 25. There are also claims of a strict no-phone policy for guests.

Some reports further suggest that while the main ceremony will be private with close family and friends, a larger reception for industry colleagues may be held on March 4 in Hyderabad.

The two actors reportedly met during the making of Geetha Govindam and were later rumoured to be dating. While they have maintained silence about their relationship status, wedding speculation has continued to build, especially after an invite card went viral on social media.

For now, there is still no official confirmation from either Rashmika or Vijay.
