Rashmika Mandanna gets a shout out from co-star Dheekshith Shetty.
Rashmika Mandanna is no stranger to pushing boundaries, but her latest feat in The Girlfriend has left fans—and even her co-star—awed. In the newly released single Nadhive, Rashmika is seen performing a gravity-defying routine that had her suspended mid-air, quite literally with no floor beneath her. And it turns out, the trust she placed in her co-star Dheekshith Shetty to pull it off was just as remarkable as the performance itself.

Taking to Instagram, Dheekshith Shetty shared a heartfelt note alongside behind-the-scenes photos and a clip from the shoot. He reflected on the intense experience of filming the dance number on an elaborate set and called it “a short rollercoaster ride… but one hell of a powerful one!”

He thanked director Rahul Ravindran for always thinking out of the box and the producers for backing the ambitious vision. The actor also gave a shout-out to the choreography team led by Vishwakiran Nambi and also the shoot’s phsyio, who was responsible for keeping the team physicall intact.

But the most striking part of his post was dedicated to Rashmika Mandanna. Dheekshith wrote, “To my incredible co-star @rashmika_mandanna, thanks for trusting me with your life… literally, hanging in the air with no floor under you! Not easy, but you did it with such grace. You’re a STAR for a reason and an absolute inspiration!”

About Rashmika Mandanna’s Nadhive performance

The Girlfriend marks Dheekshith’s first collaboration with Rashmika, and the chemistry in the movie’s first single, Nadhive, has already won over fans. Netizens have praised the fresh choreography and the on-screen pairing, calling the duo “beautiful together” and an “onscreen couple to look forward to.”

Director Rahul Ravindran, who’s presenting Rashmika in a never-before-seen avatar, had earlier described the film as a potential game-changer for the actress, who began her journey with Kirik Party. With Nadhive already making waves, that prediction may not be far off.
