Rashmika Mandanna and Vijay Deverakonda have finally addressed the long-running speculation around their relationship and upcoming wedding. After years of dating rumours, airport sightings and viral posts, the two actors have now shared a joint note on social media, putting an end to the guessing game. Their wedding will officially be called “The Wedding of VIROSH,” a name inspired by their fans.

The announcement has quickly become one of the most talked-about updates in the film industry, especially among followers who have supported the pair since their first film together.

On Sunday night, Rashmika and Vijay shared a message on their Instagram stories. In the note, they acknowledged that their fans had given them the name “VIROSH” long before they had taken any decision about their future together.



Their message read, “Our Dearest loves, Before we made any plans, before we chose anything for ourselves, you were already there. With so much love, you gave us a name. You called us ‘VIROSH’. So today — with full hearts, we name our coming together in your honour. We would like to name it, ‘The Wedding of VIROSH’. Thank you for holding us with so much love. You are a part of us - always. Biggest hugs and full love!”

By choosing this fan-created name, the couple has made it clear that they see their supporters as part of their journey, not just as spectators.

While the couple did not directly mention the wedding date in their note, multiple media reports suggest that the ceremony is scheduled for February 26, 2026, in Udaipur, Rajasthan. According to sources quoted by NDTV, the wedding will take place at a heritage property on the outskirts of the city.

Possible venues being discussed include The Mementos by ITC Hotels, Raffles Udaipur and Fairmont Udaipur, with strong buzz around The Mementos by ITC Hotels, located in the Aravalli range.

The ceremony is expected to be private, attended only by close family members and a few trusted friends. Reports also indicate that no colleagues from the Telugu or Hindi film industries have been invited to the main ceremony. A reception in Hyderabad and another in Mumbai are reportedly being planned later.

Pre-Wedding Functions Schedule

As per a report by NDTV and 123Telugu, the celebrations are expected to begin on February 24. The sangeet and mehendi ceremonies are likely to be held on February 24, followed by the haldi ceremony on February 25. The wedding will then take place on February 26.

There are also claims of a strict no-phone policy and tight security arrangements. After an alleged wedding invite went viral online, reports suggested that additional security measures were taken and vendors were asked to maintain confidentiality.

Earlier, both actors were spotted separately at the Hyderabad airport. Vijay kept a low profile in a grey shirt layered over a beige T-shirt, paired with grey trousers and a mask.

Rashmika and Vijay first appeared together in the 2018 film Geetha Govindam. They later reunited for Dear Comrade. Since then, dating rumours have followed them closely. Reports also claim that they exchanged rings in Hyderabad on October 3, 2025, though neither publicly confirmed it at the time.
