Actors Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna entered a new chapter of their lives with a wedding ceremony held in Udaipur on Thursday morning, February 26. The celebration was deliberately intimate, attended only by their inner circle of relatives and close companions. By choosing a close-knit gathering rather than a grand spectacle, the couple ensured that the occasion remained deeply personal and meaningful.

Rishab Shetty’s Public Appearance

Actor-director Rishab Shetty, who helmed Rashmika’s debut Kannada film Kirik Party, was approached for a reaction regarding the wedding. However, he refrained from offering any comment. At the time, he was present at the concluding day of Sri Raghavendra Guruvaibhavotsava in Mantralayam. His visit followed the launch of his forthcoming film Jai Hanuman, directed by Prashanth Varma.

During his interaction with the media, Rishab shared his joy at participating in the spiritual event and responded to queries about his darshan as well as his upcoming project. When questioned about whether he might, like his close associate Rakshit Shetty, carve out a space in devotional cinema, he explained that creative professionals ultimately choose their paths based on meaningful roles and promising opportunities.

Rashmika was previously engaged to Rakshit Shetty in 2017 at the age of 21, despite a 13-year age difference. The engagement concluded the following year. In 2023, while reflecting on her debut journey, she referred to Paramvah Studios—Rakshit’s production banner—in a dismissive manner during a public interaction. Rishab later appeared to respond indirectly, stating that he preferred collaborating with newcomers who approach projects without preconceived notions.

Wedding Festivities and Guests

Vijay and Rashmika traveled to Udaipur with friends on Monday after formally announcing their wedding plans on Sunday. The festivities began Tuesday with themed games and a poolside celebration, followed by a musical evening. Wednesday featured traditional haldi and mehendi rituals. The marriage ceremony commenced at 8 AM on Thursday, with the couple exchanging vows at 10:10 AM. Official photographs from the event are still awaited.
