Rapper Lucki injured. A look at his controversies: New Drank hitmaker’s ex-manager sued him for $1.5 million, claiming he destroyed his savings. A client accused him of wasting his $60,000
Rap star Lucki was allegedly stabbed during a scuffle that took place between him and a member of Playboy Carti’s crew at ComplexCon. While the reasons behind the altercation are yet to be unveiled, the New Drank hitmaker had made news recently fo...

There is no confirmation that Carti participated in the incident or ordered anyone to attack Lucki. As per reports from AOL and Revolt, the rapper had a history with Playboy Carti. In 2024, he took to Instagram and dropped scalding hot tea about his and Carti’s complicated equation. A chain he had purchased had apparently distressed Carti. Lucki wrote, "Like I said from the jump, I don't dislike you. You think yesterday 'cause I bought a chain and I said, 'Crosses up', that I was sneak dissing you 'cause you made a song that said, 'Upside down cross tat on my neck,' but it wasn't that though; I just bought a chain and was saying, 'Crosses up. 'You're just insecure because you don't love Jesus like that."
According to a report published by HotNewHipHop, Playboi Carti was seen standing in a parking lot in September 2024, where he appeared to speak incoherently for around 90 seconds. While he briefly brought up Timeless, his collaboration with The Weeknd, most of his remarks appeared directed at his rivals. He taunted them with the line, “Should've signed to the O. I ain't worried bout nobody,” while making it clear that he was unconcerned about what his opponents had to say.
Carti also indicated that people were free to say whatever they wanted about him. The “O” mentioned by the rapper referred to Opium Records, the label he founded.
Lucki's Unlucky Manager
Lucki also had a falling out with his former manager. As per a report by Complex, Lucki’s former manager Mark Buol sued him in September for $1.5 million, claiming that he was made to bear the rapper’s expenses and that this destroyed his savings. The rap star would often leave him on the hook for damaged hotel rooms and other costs.Buo also claimed the Super Urus hitmaker often failed to pay him commissions and neglected to reimburse the money he advanced. According to a lawsuit obtained by Complex, Buol was hired to be Lucki’s manager in 2021, and he was promised a 15 percent share of the rap star’s earnings along with repayment of costs he burdened on his behalf.
Buol alleged that those expenses eventually grew into a substantial financial burden. He claimed to have paid $214,822 out of his own pocket for transportation, accommodation, production, equipment rentals, and other costs associated with Lucki’s 30-stop GEMINI Tour - which diminished his liquid savings by a huge margin. The legal filing states that none of the money he spent had been repaid. He said Lucki promised to establish a business bank account for him and provide a business credit card ahead of the GEMINI tour and didn't abide by it.
Lucki also caused damage to many hotel rooms – he broke the TV at Nobu Atlanta, left burn marks on furniture from cigarettes, damaged a room at a Dallas hotel, and was charged more than $6,000 for one night in the Tampa EDITION. All of these expenses were charged to his personal account and claimed by Buol. He had to offer $15,000 to cover these damages.
Buol is far from the only person Lucki offended. As per a report by VICE, in August, a club promoter was seen confronting the rapper in a viral video. The promoter said he paid the rapper $60,000 to perform at a club. He performed just two songs before taking his leave.
The video was shared by a page called Kurrco on X.
