Ranveer Singh puts on a special perfume to get into the character of Bajirao every day

We have heard of all the things actors do to stay in their character, but I recently had the rare chance to be on a Sanjay Leela Bhansali set, which not only looked aesthetic, but his lead actor in Bajirao Mastani, Ranveer Singh, not just looked royal as Bajirao, but also smelt lovely.

He had put on a very special perfume and that too a lot, so you could smell his fragrance wherever he went on the set. His spot boy kept following him everywhere with that perfume bottle and every time Ranveer did his touch up of makeup, he would put on some more perfume.

He shared his secret with us, "I read somewhere that Vidya Balan decides upon a fragrance for a particular character and every time she is playing it, she puts on the same fragrance. I started doing that too. You can call it physiological or psychological, call it what you want, but what happens is that when you put on that perfume in the morning, suddenly your senses start reacting to that smell and you get into the zone so to speak. I started doing this at the time of Lootera, then I had one for Kabir Mehra for Dil Dhadakne Do and now I have one for Bajirao."
