Ranveer Singh & Ciaz: Maruti Suzuki's new models

After two failed attempts to break through into the bigger car space, India’s largest car maker, Maruti Suzuki decided to hire actor Ranveer Singh as their brand ambassador for ' Ciaz' to break into a market dominated by Honda City.

Maruti Suzuki claimed that Ranveer who is young, stylish, multi-talented, not yet number one but a strong challenger, resonates very well with Ciaz. His exuberance was on display at a press conference.

Singh’s association with Maruti Suzuki goes way back. He mentioned the first car he owned was a Maruti 1000. When questions veered to his onscreen partner Deepika Padukone, Singh smartly brought the car back into the conversation. Taking a potshot at its arch rival he said, "Ciaz jahan bhi jayegee, sabki (City) seetee baja degi."
