Bollywood actors Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone have become parents for the second time. The couple welcomed a baby girl on September 19, 2026, nearly two years after the birth of their first daughter, Dua. The announcement has brought a wave of congratulatory messages from fans, friends and several Bollywood celebrities.

The couple shared the news through a joint Instagram post featuring a baby's footprint. The note read, “Welcome baby girl! 19/9/2026. Dua, Deepika and Ranveer.” An evil-eye emoji accompanied the post.

With the arrival of their second daughter, Dua, who turned two earlier this month, has now become an elder sister. Fans had been following the couple's pregnancy journey closely, particularly after their announcement earlier this year.

Deepika and Ranveer announce arrival of baby girl

Deepika and Ranveer had announced their second pregnancy in April 2026. In the announcement, they shared a picture of Dua holding a pregnancy test showing two pink lines. The post had very little text and was accompanied by evil-eye emojis, while the couple indicated that their daughter would soon take on the role of a big sister.

The couple had kept much of the pregnancy away from the spotlight, although they did share a few glimpses with their followers. On September 8, coinciding with Dua's second birthday, Ranveer shared a series of black-and-white pictures from a family maternity shoot.

The photographs showed Deepika, Ranveer and Dua together in several intimate family moments. Deepika was seen showing her baby bump while Ranveer and Dua posed alongside her.

Sharing the pictures, Ranveer wrote, “Baby Dua and our hearts are getting bigger! Thank you for your blessings!”

Fans and celebrities celebrate Dua's baby sister

The announcement of the second baby was quickly followed by congratulatory messages in the comments section. Actor Angad Bedi wrote, “Baba sukh rakhe ek aur devi.” Actor and host Maneish Paul commented, “Congratulationsssssssss yessssssss.”

Kriti Sanon also congratulated the couple, writing, “Awww!! Congratulations you guys!!! Dua has a baby sister!!! Such a blessing!” Singer Shreya Ghoshal and Dhanashree were among those who sent their wishes as well.

Other celebrities, including Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan, Ishaan Khatter, Kiara Advani and Ananya Panday, reacted to the announcement.

From marriage to a family of four

Deepika and Ranveer got married on November 14, 2018, in Lake Como, Italy, after dating for several years. Their relationship began after they worked together on Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela in 2013.

They welcomed Dua on September 8, 2024, and now, almost exactly two years later, their family has grown again with the arrival of their second daughter.
