Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh have tied the knot in an extremely private Konkani wedding in Lake Como. The couple hosted their mehendi and sangeet ceremony on Tuesday, with performances by Harshdeep Kaur and Shubha Mudgal, in the picturesque locales of North Italy, and made sure no pictures made it to social media.
While candid details about Singh going down on one knee in front of his bride-to-be and hugging her during an emotional moment following a thumri rendition by Mudgal have been doing the rounds, most details about this big Bollywood wedding have been kept under the wraps.
Here's a round-up of everything we know, and speculate, so far:
The Families Both the Bhavnani and Padukone families have always stayed away from the limelight, and seems like they have decided to stick to the same policy for the wedding. The only wedding-related activity by Padukone's younger sister Anisha on social media was a new Twitter handle name.
The 27-year-old golfer updated her Twitter account name to #Ladkiwale, and also added the hashtag to her Instagram bio.

The Wedding Two ceremonies were planned for the actors, a Konkani wedding that took place today, and a Sindhi ceremony that will take place tomorrow.
Reportedly dressed in outfits by designer Sabysachi Mukherjee, the couple's Konkani ceremony began at 7 am (11:30 am IST). The venue, Villa del Balbianello, was decked up in white roses for the occasion.

The date of the Sindhi wedding, Nov 15, coincides with the release date of their first film together 'Ram Leela'. It was on the sets of this Sanjay Leela Bhansali film that the actors fell in love.
Padukone is expected to wear a lehenga for the Sindhi wedding tomorrow. All her outfits are reportedly by Sabyasachi Mukherjee, who is said to be dressing both the families.

The Mehendi And Sangeet Functions According to media reports, the Bhavnani family hosted Ranveer's mehendi function at the CastaDiva Resort, where all the wedding guests are camping. Padukone's ceremony took place at the Villa d' Este, located 5 kilometers away.

It was followed by the sangeet function that saw Singh make a Bollywood-style entry on his song 'Tune Maari Entriyaan' from 'Gunday'. The couple reportedly wore outfits by Sabyasachi Mukherjee for the function, and the designer is supposed to be one of the few industry folks who bagged an invite.
Singer Harshdeep Kaur of 'Kabira' fame, who performed at the function, put up a picture - the only one from the function - only to take it down later. The singer had done a freeze-frame with her husband in front of the villa and posted it on social media, only for a few hours though.
Earlier... After dating for 6 years, the couple announced their wedding date with a post on social media on October 21, and the pre-wedding rituals kicked off soon after. The Padukones hosted a Nandi Puja in Bengaluru, and Singh had his Haldi ceremony at his Mumbai residence.
India celebrations The couple will host two receptions on their return to India. The Bengaluru reception is expected to take place at The Leela, Bengaluru, where the couple is said to be staying from November 20 till 22nd. They will then return to Mumbai to host a bash for their industry friends at the Grand Hyatt on November 28.
