According to a report by News18, Ramayana received a clearance certificate from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) on March 30. The upcoming teaser, which will be dropping in 2 days, consists of a runtime of 2 minutes and 38 seconds. The film has been given a 'U' (universal) rating, indicating that fans across age groups will be able to watch the movie.
The makers have so far unveiled the title release of Ramayana Part 1 in a 3-minute and 3-second clip, offering a VFX-induced first look of Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Rama and Kannada actor Yash as Ravana. Both characters are depicted through visually appealing blue and red tones, creating a contrast between the two powerful individuals. Further details of the film are currently kept under tight wraps.
Ramayana’s Los Angeles screening
Several videos of Ranbir Kapoor at the Los Angeles press conference for Ramayana’s screening have taken over the internet. In one of the videos, the actor was seen greeting fans with a smile and expressing his gratitude for their attendance.
Speaking about his role, Ranbir Kapoor shared that Lord Rama had been ‘the conscience keeper of billions of people around the globe for centuries.’ He not only enlightens us on the triumph of the human spirit but also stands for compassion, courage, righteousness, and forgiveness, added the 43-year-old. He was accompanied by Nitesh Tiwari and the film’s producer, Namit Malhotra.
Ramayana cast details
Besides Ranbir Kapoor and Yash, the ensemble cast of Ramayana features Sai Pallavi as Goddess Sita, Sunny Deol as Hanuman, and Ravi Dubey as Lakshman. On the other hand, Kajal Aggarwal and Rakul Preet Singh will be seen as Mandodari and Surpanakha. Arun Govil, Kunal Kapoor, Adinath Kothare, Sheeba Chaddha, and Indira Krishnan are also part of this project.
