Ranbir Kapoor's 'Animal' crosses Rs 300 cr mark globally on Day 4, shatters first-Monday record of 'Pathaan', ‘Gadar 2’

Ranbir Kapoor's latest venture, 'Animal', directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, is making headlines as it bulldozes its way through the box office, crossing the Rs 300 crore mark within just four days of release.

Despite mixed reviews, the film is proving to be a major crowd-puller, maintaining robust collections and garnering attention for its remarkable performance.

The film's box office journey commenced on a strong note, collecting Rs 63.8 crore on its opening day and steadily climbing to a weekend total of Rs 137.73 crore.


Day three witnessed a substantial collection of Rs 71.46 crore, and on its crucial fourth day, 'Animal' passed the Monday test with flying colours, adding Rs 39.9 crore to its tally. With this, the film's collection now stands at an impressive Rs 241.43 crore in India.

Global Dominance

'Animal' is not just conquering Indian box offices; it's making waves globally too. The movie's production banner, T-Series, proudly declared a worldwide gross of Rs 356 crore over the weekend, labelling it a "box office tsunami."

Renowned film trade analyst Taran Adarsh hailed the film, despite its 'A' certification, lauding its remarkable box office performance, particularly accumulating Rs 176.58 crore in the Hindi version alone.

Shattering Records

'Animal' has not only shattered its own records but also surpassed the first Monday collections of other major releases this year.

With Rs 39.90 crore on its fourth day, the film outperformed ‘Jawan’, ‘Pathaan’, and even ‘Gadar 2’, securing its position as a box office heavyweight. The film's overall Hindi occupancy was recorded at 48.92 per cent, maintaining its grip on audience attention.

Despite facing criticism for elements of misogyny, violence, and vulgarity, 'Animal' is proving to be a force to be reckoned with. It has not only outperformed competition like Meghana Gulzar’s 'Sam Bahadur' but also continues to draw massive audiences.

In the face of varied opinions, 'Animal' stands tall as a box-office behemoth, showcasing Kapoor's star power and the film's universal appeal. As it looks set to dominate ticket counters until Shah Rukh Khan's 'Dunki' releases on December 21, 'Animal' is undoubtedly the talk of the town.
