Ranbir Kapoor’s Dussehra Gaffe Goes Viral As His Remark On Victory Of Good Over Evil Grabs Internet’s Attention

A slip of the tongue can turn a superstar into a laughingstock. Animal star Ranbir Kapoor, who is gearing up for his upcoming magnum opus Ramayana, was clowned at by the Internet after a slip of the tongue. At a promotional event for Ramayana in Kolkata, the superstar was speaking of Dussehra and accidentally uttered how Dussehra represented triumph of evil and defeat of righteousness and virtue. He said, “He said, “Dussehra hume ek bahut khoobsurat baat yaad dilati hai ki burai chahe jitni bhi taakatwar kyun na ho, aakhir mein ant sachchai aur achhai ki hi hogi.” (Dussehra reminds us of a beautiful truth: no matter how powerful evil may be, in the end, truth and goodness will end).”

What he meant was that the festival of Dussehra signifies the ultimate victory of virtue and vanquishing of evil. However, his gaffe quickly caught the attention of the Internet, and the clip spread all across social media like wildfire.

Reacting to the clip, one X user said: “This is so embarrassing!” Another exclaimed, jokingly: “Freudian slip, and he is spitting facts!” Interestingly, this sentiment resonates with the central theme of the Ramayana, which depicts Lord Ram’s battle against Ravana and the ultimate triumph of good over evil. Dussehra commemorates Ravana’s defeat and celebrates the victory of righteousness, echoing the very message Ranbir sought to convey.

Helmed by Nitesh Tiwari, Ramayan Part 1, is a much-awaited magnum opus, which is an adaptation of the epic Ramayana. Aside from Ranbir, the movie also boasts of a stellar cast which consists of KGF star Yash, Sai Pallavi, Sunny Deol, Anupam Kher, Kajal Aggarwal, Rakul Preet Singh, Vivek Oberoi, Kunal Kapoor, Adinath Kothare, Arun Govil, and Indira Krishnan and Lara Dutta. The movie’s budget is a staggering Rs 4,000 crore, which thereby makes it the most expensive film to be ever made. The movie will hit the big screens on November 5.
