The countdown has begun. The first official trailer for Ramayana, the most anticipated film in recent years would be unveiled for fans on July 24. Helmed by Nitesh Tiwari and backed by producer Namit Malhotra, the large-scale mythological drama is being crafted as an international cinematic event. The film aims to bring India's ancient epic to audiences worldwide by combining its enduring mythology with state-of-the-art visual effects, high production values, and globally benchmarked filmmaking techniques.

After its special premiere event, the Ramayana trailer will be released for viewers in India and overseas at 10 AM IST on July 24, according to an esquire report. Fans will be able to watch it on the film's official YouTube channel as well as its verified social media handles.

Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, Ramayana has remained one of the most anticipated Indian films since it was first announced. The mythological epic boasts an impressive ensemble cast, with Ranbir Kapoor portraying Lord Rama, Sai Pallavi playing Sita, and Yash stepping into the role of Ravana. The film also features Sunny Deol and Ravi Dubey in key characters, further heightening anticipation for what is expected to be one of the biggest mythological adaptations in recent years.


Ramayana features a star-studded cast, with Ranbir Kapoor headlining the film as Lord Rama, Sai Pallavi portraying Sita, and Yash taking on the powerful role of Ravana.

Ravi Dubey has been cast as Lakshman, while Sunny Deol steps into the role of Lord Hanuman, adding further depth to the film's ensemble.

Veteran actor Arun Govil, who became synonymous with Lord Rama through Ramanand Sagar's iconic Ramayana television series on Doordarshan during the late 1980s, returns to the epic in a new avatar as King Dashrath. Lara Dutta portrays Queen Kaikeyi, Kajal Aggarwal appears as Mandodari, and Anupam Kher is reportedly lending his voice to the character of Jatayu.

Designed as a grand cinematic spectacle, Ramayana is being produced specifically for the IMAX format. Enhancing its global appeal, the film's soundtrack is being composed by Academy Award winners A. R. Rahman and Hans Zimmer, bringing together two internationally acclaimed musicians for the ambitious mythological epic.
