The Telugu film Rakasa, which arrived in theatres on April 3 as a Good Friday release, has quickly become a talking point among audiences who enjoy a mix of horror, comedy and fantasy. The story follows Veerababu, played by Sangeeth Shobhan, who returns from the US for his lover but ends up caught in unexpected circumstances. Things take a turn when he becomes entangled in village conflicts and is eventually sent to the fort.

The narrative then moves between romance, mystery and supernatural elements, raising questions about whether the demon truly exists and what secrets the fort holds.
