Raju Srivastava is still under observation.
The condition of famous comedian Raju Srivastava, who has been undergoing treatment for nearly a month at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) following cardiac arrest, is stable, but he remains on a ventilator.
Earlier, reports were circulating that the stand-up comedian had opened his eyes and held his wife's hand. Speaking toBombay Times, Srivastava's wife Shikha urged his fans to pray for the comedian's quick recovery.
"All I can say is that his condition is stable and he is still on a ventilator. The medical team is doing their best and we all want your prayers, so that he recovers and is back with us," she was quoted as saying.
The 58-year-old, who is still under observation, was rushed to AIIMS in Delhi on August 10 after he suffered a heart attack. While running on the treadmill in a gym, he experienced chest pain and collapsed. He underwent an angioplasty the same day.
The Bombay Times report also stated that Srivastava was also diagnosed with an infection after cardiac arrest. Hence, only his wife has been allowed to meet him with proper precautions.
Time and again, the Srivastavas have urged the people to not believe any reports circulating on social media from unreliable sources.
