Rajnikanth on brief visit for blessings from Dayanand Saraswati

COIMBATORE: Tamil superstar Rajnikanth arrive in the city today on a brief visit to seek the blessings of Dayananda Saraswati, his spiritual guru.

Immediately on arrival from Chennai by air, he left for the Dayananda ashram in Anaikatty and took blessings from Dayananda Saraswati.

He told mediapersons, who were waiting for PMK leader Dr S Ramadoss, that he was going to meet Dayananda Saraswati at Anaikatty on the outskirts of the city.

The actor spent more than one hour with him, enquiring about his health and had lunch with him, Ashram sources said.

Rajnikanth, an ardent disciple, meets Dayanand Saraswati at Rishikesh every year, but the latter could not go there since last year.

That was the reason Rajnikanth flew down to Ashram to meet and enquire on health and also take blessings, by spending over three hours, they said.

Rajinikanth left for Chennai in the evening, police said.
