Rajinikanth’s daughter Soundarya files for divorce from husband Ashwin

Superstar Rajnikanth's daughter, Soundarya Rajnikanth has applied for divorce from husband Ashwin Ramkumar. The filmmaker and industrialist Ashwin tied the knot in 2010, and have a one-year old son.

Soundarya conformed the news on Twitter saying, "News about my marriage is true. We have been separated for over a year and divorce talks are on. I request all to respect my family's privacy."

Reports about the two not seeing eye-to-eye had been doing the rounds for some time.

A graphic designer by profession, Soundarya has worked on Tamil films, the most popular one beig her father's Kochadaiiyaan - India's first motion capture 3D film.
