'Raees' actress Mahira Khan tests positive for coronavirus, asks for movie recommendations

Pakistani actress Mahira Khan, who made her Bollywood debut opposite Shah Rukh Khan in 2017 action-thriller 'Raees', confirmed on Sunday that she had tested positive for coronavirus.

The star, who is known for her memorable performance in TV shows like 'Humsafar' and 'Sadqay Tumhare', and films 'Bol" and 'Bin Roye', is currently in isolation. In an Instagram post, she asked her 7 million followers for movie recommendations and prayers.

The 35-year-old actress further said that her Covid-19 diagnosis had been 'rough', but hopes to recover soon. "I have informed all those who were in close contact with me over the last few days," her post read.


She also urged people to wear a mask and follow all other safety guidelines 'for your sake and others'.

Khan recently wrapped the shooting of her upcoming film 'Neelofar' in Lahore.

'Neelofar' reunites Mahira Khan with her 'Humsafar' co-star Fawad Khan. It is the duo's third collaboration, after the yet-to-be released feature film 'The Legend of Maula Jatt'.
