R Madhavan's Aap Jaisa Koi OTT release date out: When and where to watch the rom-com

Romance is in the air again, and this time it’s wrapped in quirky charm, layered emotions, and a refreshingly modern twist. R Madhavan and Fatima Sana Shaikh are all set to light up screens with Aap Jaisa Koi, a romantic comedy premiering on Netflix from July 11. The first look of the film had already piqued curiosity, and now with the release date officially out, anticipation is running high for this offbeat love story.

Netflix took to social media and announced, “This romcom has been waiting for Aap Jaisa Koi. Watch Madhavan and Fatima find love in Aap Jaisa Koi, out 11 July, only on Netflix.”



Directed by Vivek Soni of Meenakshi Sundareshwar fame, Aap Jaisa Koi promises to be a gentle, heartfelt film that captures the awkwardness, beauty, and courage of falling in love. Madhavan returns to the genre he’s adored for, playing Shrirenu—a quiet, reserved Sanskrit teacher—while Fatima steps into the role of Madhu, a spirited and spontaneous French instructor. Together, they headline a story that’s not just about love, but also about belonging, family, and emotional rediscovery.

According to the director, the film delves into how people hide behind emotional walls, and what it truly takes to let someone in. With its breezy tone, soulful characters, and Dharmatic Entertainments backing the project, Aap Jaisa Koi is shaping up to be one of the season’s most relatable and tender romances.
