R Madhavan shares screenshot of impersonator, warns fans to stay cautious
Social media impersonation has become a growing concern for public figures, and actors often find themselves dealing with fake profiles pretending to represent them online. Recently, actor R. Madhavan alerted his followers about a similar issue after discovering an account that was allegedly claiming to speak on his behalf.

The actor took to Instagram to warn fans that someone was using his name to contact people on social media. To make sure people were not misled, he even shared a screenshot of the suspicious account and clearly stated that the profile had no connection with him or his team.

Madhavan warns followers

In his Instagram post, Madhavan made it clear that the person behind the account was not authorised to represent him in any capacity. He asked fans and followers to stay alert and avoid interacting with the profile, suggesting that it could potentially mislead people.

Sharing the screenshot, the actor wrote, “FRAUD ALERT… THIS PERSON IS NOT CONNECTED TO ME OR MY TEAM IN ANY WAY. THEY CLAIM TO PRESENT ME AND SPEAK TO PEOPLE ON THE I SOCIAL MEDIA ON MY BEHALF. THIS IS TOTALLY A FRAUD ACCOUNT KINDLY BE AWARE… NO other account either represents me nor speaks on my behalf on Instagram or any social media. PLS NOTE AND BE AWARE.. Appropriate steps are being taken to hold this person accountable.. @rohanmyra2 @instagram. (sic)”.

Along with the message, Madhavan also posted an image showing the account he was referring to. The aim, it seems, was simply to ensure that fans recognise the profile and avoid engaging with it.

The actor also mentioned that steps are already being taken to deal with the situation. While he did not share details about what exactly is being done, his message suggested that the matter has been reported and efforts are underway to hold the person responsible accountable.

Incidents like this are not uncommon on social media platforms. Fake accounts sometimes try to contact fans or industry professionals by pretending to represent celebrities. By posting publicly about the issue, Madhavan tried to stop any confusion before it spreads further.

In the film, he plays Intelligence Bureau director Ajay Sanyal. The movie also features actors such as Ranveer Singh along with several other prominent names.

The sequel, often referred to as Dhurandhar 2 or Dhurandhar: The Revenge, is scheduled to release in theatres worldwide on March 19, 2026, with paid previews starting a day earlier.
