The sepia-toned snapshot showcases a teen Madhavan sporting his school uniform and his signature boyish grin. In the yearbook, he had written about his dream to be a “rich and famous actor and be a jack of all trades and master of some..”
Sharing the picture, the ‘Shaitaan’ star wrote, “Just saw my graduation yearbook from Canada. A little blown by what I wrote for Ambition (AMB) 28 years ago.. the universe conspires..ha ha ha..”
The post went viral on Instagram and gained over 125K likes. Many netizens gushed about his perseverance towards achieving his dreams. “Congratulations @actormaddy you achieved your goals..” wrote one user. “Congratulations for achieving that dream, sir,” commented another.
“Now that's what we call awesome MANIFESTATION universe did conspire with you,” observed another fan. For the unversed, the actor spent a year in Stettler, Alberta, Canada, as part of an exchange program with Rotary International in 1988. He received a scholarship from Rajaram College, Kolhapur.
The actor recently opened up on how he coped when his Bollywood debut vehicle ‘Rehna Hai Tere Dil Mein’ became a box-office debacle.
In an interview with ANI, Madhavan recalled, “When the film first came out, it didn’t succeed; it was a flop. I remember being devastated. I had visited every temple, leaving no effort spared to ensure the film was made right, but it was still heartbreaking.”
Rehnaa Hai Terre Dil Mein, a 2001 romantic film produced by Vashu Bhagnani's Pooja Entertainment and directed by Gautham Vasudev Menon, also starred Saif Ali Khan and Dia Mirza. After its re-release, Madhavan shared his thoughts on the film's reception in theaters with News18.
