Death of his wife
Neeson's wife, actress Natasha Richardson, died in 2009 after suffering a traumatic brain injury in a skiing accident at Mont Tremblant Resort in Quebec, Canada. She was taking a private beginner skiing lesson when she fell on a gentle slope. At first, she appeared unharmed, declined medical attention, and returned to her hotel. However, around two hours later, she developed a severe headache. She was first taken to a local hospital before being transferred to a trauma centre in Montreal.Doctors later confirmed that she had suffered an epidural hematoma, a type of bleeding between the skull and the brain caused by a blunt head injury. At the time, Neeson, then 56, was filming the movie Chloe in Toronto. After learning about the accident, he immediately left the film set and rushed to be by his wife's side.

While out with friends in Brighton, England, Sexton climbed onto a telephone kiosk, lost his balance, and fell about 20 feet to the ground.
