Nivin Pauly's journey from being a techie to blockbuster actor
Born on October 11, 1984, in Aluva, Ernakulam, Nivin comes from a non-filmy background. He completed his B.Tech in Electronics and Communication Engineering from the Federal Institute of Science and Technology in Angamaly. Like many engineering graduates, he began his career through campus placement and joined Infosys in Bengaluru, where he worked as a software engineer between 2006 and 2008.Despite having a stable job and a promising future, Nivin felt disconnected from his work. In an interview with The Hindu, he shared that he eventually quit his job because he lost interest in it. He also mentioned, "I quit because I lost interest in it. I had a group of friends who wanted to make it big in films and that’s when the audition for Malarvady Arts Club happened. I got selected and it opened the doors to my dream world."

For the unversed, his acting debut came with Malarvaadi Arts Club (2010), directed by Vineeth Sreenivasan. While the film gave him a start, it was Thattathin Marayathu (2012) that brought him widespread recognition and turned him into a household name. Over time, he became known for portraying relatable “boy-next-door” characters that connected well with audiences.Nivin went on to deliver a string of successful films, including Premam, Bangalore Days, Ohm Shanthi Oshaana, and Action Hero Biju.
