Qiku Terra 808 launched at Rs 19,999

Qiku Terra 809, that falls in the phablet categorym will go on sale via an invite system from December 5th.

Qiku, a joint venture between Qihoo 360 Technology and Coolpad Group, is the latest smartphone brand to arrive in India. The company today announced the launch of their first device, Qiku Terra 808 in India that is priced at Rs 19,999 onwards.

Qiku Terra 809 falls into the phablet territory with its 6-inch display (1920 x 1080 pixels). It has a full Metal unibody constructed of a magnesium and aluminum alloy which is 3.5mm at its slimmest point. You get dual SIM slots, microSD slot along with 4G, WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity.
Hardware specifications include Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 processor with liquid cooling, 3GB RAM, 16GB storage and a massive 3,700mAh battery. The phone has a dual 13MP camera setup on the rear - one sensor capturea color while the second is black and white sensor. This helps capture images with better details and improved low light photos. You get a 8MP front camera for selfies.

Qiku has their own 360OS running on the Terra 808 that is based on Android 5.1. It had plethora if nifty features including permission manager, battery saving mode and aheat source tracking. Plus, there is no bloatware preloaded on the phone.

Qiku claims they already have over 200 service centers in India for after sale service. The phone will go on sale via an invite system starting December 5th. With an invite the phone will be available for Rs 19,999 on Gadgets 360. It will also be available without invite in open sale for Rs 21,999.
