Puppy power: AirAsia India CEO Mittu Chandilya rescues dog
Mittu is home-hunting for a threeweek-old pup he found wandering the streets in Bengaluru.

While Chandilya says he would love to keep her, his work schedule does not permit him to do so. He says, "I am on the road so often; my children are at school, so it doesn't make sense. We could hire someone but that wouldn't be fair on her. We haven't named her because we do not want to get too attached to her -so we are just calling her Puppy. She's a great little pup and I think she has a slight mix of German Shepherd in her. And most surprisingly, she's already potty-trained."
This isn't the first time that Chandilya has helped out his four-legged friends. He's got something bigger in mind when it comes to orphaned animals. "In my family, we are all huge dog lovers.
I have a foundation in my own name for the last five years that helps stray dogs in Chennai.
My mum, sister and I want to start an animal shelter for orphaned and abandoned dogs. We would like to find a couple of acres of farmland and devote it to dogs that have nowhere to go. Right now I am so busy that I just do not have the time. But my mum and sister are working on it."
